THE HOMESTEAD
The historic Mahana Homestead is the heart of the Mahana Lodge complex. It is well over 100 years old and is surrounded by gardens and
lawn right on the beach front. It was once the centre of a large sheep farm. Now the farm has been returned to forest and the
Homestead which we have lovingly restored is our home.
Although there is no accommodation available in the Homestead, meals are served on its wide veranda and guests are also welcome to sit
there with a coffee or a glass of wine and watch the world go by.THE LODGE
Our spacious, sunny lodge is set in a secluded spot about 50 metres behind the Homestead. There are four bedrooms each with its own
ensuite bathroom, and you have a choice of a king size bed, or twin beds (two single beds). The rooms all open onto a deck with views
of sea or forest.
The central lounge with its breathtaking views over Endeavour Inlet is the ideal place for socialising with your fellow guests and
offers weary walkers a great place to relax and revive. We have stocked it with books, magazines, games and puzzles for your rest and
relaxation. The cozy log fire provides warmth for those cooler evenings. There are also cooking facilities available in the Lodge.
To enhance your peaceful enjoyment of Mahana, we have chosen to be a TV free zone. Please note that there is no cell phone coverage or
internet facility.
STUDIO
The Studio is a charming double room (queen size bed) with ensuite set in the bush about 20 metres away from the main lodge where you
can enjoy the peace and quiet of your own little area. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room and the kitchen at
the main lodge is available if needed.
